It is considered vulnerable to extinction by the national list of endangered species of the Ministry of the Environment. The response of the Red-billed Tropicbird to human presence has been identified and estimated during various stages of the reproductive period, with the appropriate distance for visiting a breeding colony set at around 40 meters. These birds can reach up to 41 cm in length, and adults have red bills and feet year-round. The body is light gray on the upper parts and white on the ventral part. In breeding plumage, they have black foreheads, crowns, and napes, but in non-breeding plumage, only the nape is black with the forehead and crown being white.
