The White-browed Antpitta is a passerine bird of the Thamnophilidae family. Its scientific name means: from the (Greek) drumos = forest, wood; and philos = one who likes, fond of; and from the (Greek) ökhros = ochre, pale yellow; and -pygos = rump, hindquarters; ochropyga = with ochre rump. ⇒ (bird that) loves forests with ochre tail.
