Green-billed Toucan

The Green-billed Toucan is a piciform bird from the Ramphastidae family. It measures about 42 to 48 centimeters, with a large portion of that being its beak. It weighs around 265 g to 400 g. It has a yellow throat and a green bill. The serrations on its bill are well-developed and enhanced by the blood-red color. It is the only Ramphastos species to have a pronounced angle at the base of the lower mandible. Its call is characterized by a sequence of “äk”, “rrät”, “rräit”.
